Montenegrin Soldiers to be Sent to NATO Mission Iraq

Members of the Montenegrin army will begin with their participation in the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI) by the end of the year, daily Pobjeda was told in the Montenegrin Defence Ministry.

It is cited that the Defence and Security Council had proposed the engagement of “up to two Montenegrin soldiers”, in this Alliance’s mission.

It was said in the Ministry that it was realistic to expect that the members of the Montenegrin army will be dispatched to Iraq by the end of 2019, after the necessary procedures are carried out, including the adoption of the decision by parliament.
