Ad hoc Parliamentary Committee’s experts draft amendments to implement

Newspapers report on the Electoral Code amendments drafted by the experts attached to the ad hoc Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reform aimed at implementing the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations.

The amendments focus, among other things, on stricter measures to enforce gender equality, the transparent financing of political parties, and the strengthening of the Central Election Commission’s powers. Accordingly, the said amendments will start to be reviewed by the ad hoc Parliamentary Committee in its today’s meeting.
