Albania expells rwo Iranian diplomats

Two Iranian diplomats – Mohamed Peimanemati and Seyed Ahmad Hosseini, third councilor and cultural attaché at the Iranian Embassy in Tirana respectively – have been expelled from Albania, newspapers report.

Accordingly, the two diplomats had direct ties to deceased Iranian general Qasem Soleimani and possessed knowledge of the plan of attacking the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.

The news was confirmed by Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, who said the two Iranian diplomats had been asked to leave the country immediately in view of their activity in violation of their status and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
