Berlin Police Locate and Ban Serbian Bus with 1.3 million km

Police in Berlin has announced that they banned from traffic a bus which crossed 1.3 million kilometers.

As it turned out, the bus owned by Belgrade-based transportation company Lasta, which had been prohibited from traffic due to technical defects, was planned to continue its trip to Serbia.

German media report that the bus carried passengers to Serbia and was in a state of decomposition, and Berlin police Tweeted the bus screenshots and images of defects.

The shots reveal rusted metalware, holes at many places filled with foam, broken springs, and defective brakes.

Also, after a quick check, it has been determined that the oil and hydraulic liquid leak out from the bus and that the steering wheel is not working properly. The bus was immediately pulled over and a procedure has been opened against the driver for breach of regulations.

Belgrade media report on Thursday that the German police don’t often have the chance to see a bus that traveled so much and in such a poor condition. Allegedly, the last time a bus with more than 1.3 million kilometer mileage was stopped was back in 2016, but unlike the Serbian one, it was in perfectly good order.
