Dacic Continues His One-Man  Campaigning for Trump Re-election

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Tuesday continued his bizarre one-man campaign for the re-election of US President Donald Trump in 2020, calling on the Serbs from the diaspora to, at the elections in the countries in which they live, vote “for those who love Serbia”.

One day after he told reporters in Belgrade that he was “rooting for Trump” because of the apparently more benevolent attitude of his administration towards Serbia in the context of the resolution of the Kosovo issue, Dacic on Tuesday, in a statement for Prva TV, said that he expected that next year every US citizen of Serbian origin would “certainly” not vote for the Democrats.

On the other hand, “all the Albanians [in the US] will vote for the Democrats”, he continued.

“If we are smart, we can capitalize on this” in the event of Trump’s new victory, he said.

Therefore, “as long as the monuments to [former US President Bill] Clinton, and [former US secretary of state] Madeleine Albright stand in Pristina, I am rooting for Trump and I call on all the Serbs throughout the world to vote for those who love Serbia”, said Dacic, adding that he was “certain that Trump liked the Serbs more than Albright”.

As expected, Dacic did not explain on the basis of what he concluded that Trump has any kind of sympathy, let alone “love” towards Serbia.
