Dacic: Serbia will not Agree to Everything in Order to Join EU

Serbia would not agree to everything in order to join the EU, the country will not work in order to harm itself, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Sunday at the rally of Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), which he led, Belgrade-based electronic media reported.

In Novi Sad, where SPS held the first of series of rallies that would mark the party’s 30th anniversary, he said that being left-winged “must not mean that you betray your own people”.

“No Socialist has ever betrayed their own people. Serbia is coming first and it is most important to us, and thus Socialists today are talking about patriotism and no one can stop us from doing that”, Dacic stated.
