The State Police, through an official statement, has called on citizens to be careful of certain telephone messages, as they aim to steal data and take over financial accounts.

The police are reporting that fraudulent SMS messages are circulating where personal data is stolen through clickable links.

The Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes calls on citizens not to click on links sent from unknown numbers, not to provide personal data such as bank account information, and not to interact by following SMS instructions.

Police announcement:

The Cybercrime Investigation Directorate of the State Police informs citizens that fraudulent SMS messages are circulating, which falsely present themselves as notifications from postal services for the delivery of packages.

These messages contain suspicious links and require urgent action from citizens.

Their purpose is:

* acquisition of personal data;

* theft of bank data;

* unauthorized access to financial accounts.

⚠️ The Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes emphasizes that these are fraud attempts and calls on citizens to exercise maximum caution.

❗ Caution: • Do not click on links sent from unknown numbers;

* Do not give out personal or banking information;

* Do not follow instructions that require urgent action without verifying them.

✅ Recommendations from the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate:

* Delete such messages immediately;

* Do not interact with their content;

* Report any suspicious cases to official contacts.
