He came out against Blinken's "non grata" for Berisha/ The former congressman takes the high office from Trump
President Donald Trump has tapped former congressman Lee Zeldi to serve as his Environmental Protection Agency administrator. Zeldin announced that he has accepted this role.
"It is an honor to join President Trump's cabinet as EPA Administrator. We will restore US energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring jobs back to America, and make the US the global AI leader. We will do this by protecting access to clean air and water,” Zeldin posted on Monday X.
Zeldin, who lost the 2022 New York gubernatorial race to Kathy Hochul, has remained close to Trump, making regular appearances at Mar-a-Lago throughout his 2024 campaign.
We remind you that the former congressman was one of the powerful voices who opposed the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, for declaring opposition leader Sali Berisha 'non-grata'.
Zeldin addressed the US Department of State with several letters asking for an explanation of the reasons that led to the declaration of Berisha as 'non-grata'. Then Blinken and DASH gave him an answer that according to Zeldin, was not ambiguous.
