Slovenian President Borut Pahor warned that if the war that has been going on for months in Ukraine does not end, it risks going down to the Western Balkan region.
"If this war lasts longer than expected, tensions may descend south in the Western Balkans," Pahor said, reports 'Daily Sabah' .
The Slovenian president was present in Turkey where he signed a cooperation agreement with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Turkish and Slovenian leaders stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation and pledged to further improve relations after a meeting in the capital Ankara on Wednesday.
"As NATO allies, Turkey and Slovenia must cooperate, especially in the defense sector," said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a joint press conference with President Pahor.
