Ship capsizes in Scottish port, 35 people injured

A ship overturned this Wednesday in the port of Edinburgh, Scotland, injuring 35 people, the BBC reports.

 The ship, which was sitting on dry land, drifted and overturned in an Edinburgh shipyard.

The major incident was declared after the research vessel Petrel moved from its berth to dry land. Passengers have been asked not to attend A&E at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary (ERI) unless it is an emergency.

 Photos posted on social networks showed that the 3,000-ton ship, which is owned by the US Navy.

Five ambulances, one air ambulance, three trauma teams, one special operations team, three EMS units and a patient transport vehicle were sent to the scene.
