The identity of the person who shot the Slovak prime minister is revealed

A 71-year-old Slovak writer named Juraj Tsintula is, according to Slovak media, the man who tried to kill Prime Minister Robert Fico in the town of Hadlova on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the information, Tsintula shouted at Fico while the latter was talking to his supporters and when he approached him, he opened fire.

The same sources say that the 71-year-old is one of the founders of the literary club DÚHA, in 2005. Until 2016, he was the president of the club and wrote three poetry collections.

Since 2015, he is a member of the Slovak Writers' Association. According to information, in 2016 he worked as a driver in a shopping center in Levice, his hometown.
