"Municipalities that do not clean the garbage, will not receive any grant" / Rama 'thumb' for Lelin?
Prime Minister Edi Rama stated from the Assembly that municipalities that do not clean the territory will not receive any grant from the State Budget. He said the waste situation is an alarm bell.
"Municipalities that do not clean and do not manage garbage will not receive any grants from the state budget. Cleanliness must become the backbone of every local government and every mayor.
We will no longer tolerate the local government turning a blind eye to illegal constructions. We must avoid the irresponsibility of occupying the territory. "The tourism sector was good, but it also sounded the alarm about waste ," Rama declared.
Maybe this statement of Rama was a "thumb" for the mayor of Vlora Dritan Leli? We remember the video of the Prime Minister as he was cleaning the garbage in a sports field in Vlora, as he declared that it is a shame for foreign and Albanian tourists to see this picture,
But except in the case of Vlora, during the summer tourist season the streets full of garbage were seen in Durrës. This turned into a serious concern for this city, because apart from the serious damage to the health of the citizens, the garbage thrown on the streets was not at all the image that is needed for a tourist place.
