Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the protest called this afternoon by the opposition in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

In his post on social media, Rama launches insults at the leader of the Democrat Party, Sali Berisha, considering him an "old owl", and the opposition a "swamp".

According to Rama, today's protest was inspired by the accusations of former number 2 in the Government, Arben Ahmetaj. Rama considers the latter a fugitive wanted by justice for corruption and concealment of wealth, and his accusations as nonsense.

Rama's post:

Today, the old owl of the opposition swamp has gone out with his swamp in protest, and the inspiration for the protest is the snarls of a fugitive wanted by justice for corruption and concealment of wealth.

This protest should be welcomed, because it is a clear reflection of the rotten alternative of a political swamp of degraded losers, which on May 11 Albanians must drain away by voting for the only worthy political force in Albania, the Socialist Party of Albania.

Only by abandoning the swamp of the old owl will the Democrats create space for the rebirth of a political opposition worthy of Albania as a member of the European Union, otherwise the losses will only deepen beyond the May 11 elections, from which today's protesters will emerge not only defeated for the tenth time in a row, but also with the deepest difference with the Socialist Party since 2013.
