Report of Dick Marty, SP submits to the Assembly the request for the establishment of the Special Parliamentary Commission
The head of the socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has submitted to the Assembly a request for the establishment of a Special Parliamentary Commission for the investigation and allegations in Dick Marty's report on the war in Kosovo.
The request signed by the 18 deputies of the Albanian parliament is made in order to create a Commission to investigate the role of Albanian politicians or political parties in the report of Dick Marty.
According to the majority, the Special Commission has drafted a summary and informative report within a period of 3 months to present to the Assembly.
"The Special Commission of the Assembly should draft a detailed summary and informative report on all these issues and present it to the Albanian Parliament within a period of three months. The complete documentation available to the public institutions must be made available to the Commission, according to the legislation in force regarding the official and classified documentation ”, it is stated in the SP request submitted to the Assembly.
Let us recall that the request of the Socialists comes at a time when the debate in Albanian politics has raised why the Berisha-Meta government voted in favor of Dick Marty's report to the Council of Europe. Meanwhile, Rama's questions were answered by the opposition, explaining that they never voted for Dick Marty's report, but a resolution that required an investigation into the issues raised in that report that incriminated the KLA.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, many pan-Albanian factors have asked the parliament to adopt a resolution that supports the just war and freedom of the Albanian people in Kosovo and the KLA, and officially condemns the world-renowned genocide of Albanians against Serbia.
