The move comes after the new government and its political program received a no-confidence vote in parliament, in a marathon session that lasted more than 20 hours.
The government was voted in with 77 votes in favor, 74 for the SP and 3 for the PSD. 52 opposition MPs voted against, while the only MP who abstained was Agron Çela of the SMI. The rest were not present in the hall.
