"2 Mayors from Rama and Veliaj", Teliti: A stalemate we had never seen

Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Council Dorian Teliti commented on the Rama-Veliaj clashes and the command of two mayors in the Municipality of Tirana, one from Rama and the other from Erion Veliaj, who is in prison.

Invited to Syri TV, Teliti said that Mayor Erion Veliaj is now 'waking up' and has understood where all the problems he is in have come from.

According to Teliti, Veliaj has realized that the internal war within the Socialist Party has consumed his political mind and years of life, while adding that this war is a clear indicator of the governing model of Tirana and Albania.

"Rama took the de facto powers of the mayor of Tirana. Erion Veliaj is now waking up and has understood where this problem came from. He has understood that the internal war has eaten away his political mind and years of life, he is raising his voice against a war of the strong, a political war within the Socialist Party, which is the clearest indicator of the governing model where Tirana and Albania are headed. Today we have 2 mayors, Rama and Veliaj in prison, two deputy mayors, a stalemate that we had never seen or heard before.

The municipal council does not meet, zero information, the majority usurps with the violence of the cardboard and does not hold a meeting of the municipal council. The de facto mayor or the de jure one, we are in an absurd situation, even we councilors do not know who is in the mayor's office, who we will address. In the morning we talk about European integration, and at lunch and dinner we talk differently.

"There is an internal war that is not the opposition's war. Our war is to make Tirana livable, with clean air, with proper infrastructure, with schools and kindergartens. Disaster for Tirana, they are discussing who should hold the keys to the municipality, they are fighting within the group. Our eyes and ears have seen various scandals, but to duplicate them within one institution and one political group means that their oppressions are so great that our imagination cannot imagine and quantify them ," Teliti said.
