31 years since the exodus of Albanians, Berisha: Rama's regime expelled 744 thousand Albanians
The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has commemorated the 31st anniversary of the great exodus of Albanians to Italy, where about 20,000 Albanians left their country on August 8, 1991.
In a post on Facebook, Berisha writes that just as at that time the Albanians left the tyranny of the dictator Enver Hoxha, even today the regime of Edi Rama has expelled nearly 744 thousand Albanians during the years 2014-2021.
Berisha has called on the PD and the opposition to do everything for the Albanians to stay in their country.
"A day that should never be forgotten!
August 8, 1991 - the day of the biblical exodus of the Albanians; leaving their country to escape the tyranny of misery left behind by the brutal Stalinist dictatorship of Enver Hoxha, the Albanian Hitler after the Second World War.
Today, we remember this day because during the years 2014-2021, more than 744 thousand Albanians took the dirt roads, driven out with murder of hope by the regime of Edi Rama. Great Britain declared today that 44% of immigrants from all over the world are from Albania.
August 8 is an appeal for the DP and the Albanian opposition to do everything for the Albanians to make Albania and not run away from their country!", writes Berisha on Facebook.
