The ship with 2100 tons of waste, Muçollari: the Durrës Prosecutor's Office has no chance of going to the big bosses

The ship with 2100 tons of waste, Muçollari: the Durrës

The member of the Presidency of the DP, Grigels Muçollari, spoke in a statement about the toxic waste that was anchored in the Port of Durrës.

Muçollari said from the blue headquarters, that despite the investigation that has started about the containers by the Durrës Prosecutor's Office, the latter has no chance of going to the big bosses.

The member of the DP presidency, Grigels Muçollari, during a statement to the media, has stated that even though he has started an investigation into the 2100 tons of toxic waste, he will not be able to reach the big bosses.

Declaration:

After staying for more than 10 days, two miles from the port of Durrës, the ship Moliva, with 2100 tons of suspected hazardous and toxic waste, has finally docked.

It is still not clear and convincing why the containers stayed in the sea for so long.

But what is clearly understood in these moments, is that the process of receiving cargoes and their handling is not being done according to international standards, and none of the requirements of the Basel Network are being taken into account.

The actors who are dealing with the waste are all entities under the control of the Prime Minister, and this totally questions the reliability of the test result.

Everything is being managed by the state police, under siege, security cordon and without transparency. From the most political police that the country has known in these years, totally dependent on the orders of the government.

The Durrës Prosecutor's Office has no chance to go all the way to the big bosses with investigations, while for SPAK, Edi Rama says that he created it, it is his creation.

On the other hand, the body of the accusation that leads this process, has asked the state agencies to do the testing. So agencies and authorities that depend on and are influenced by the government.

The Basel network, citizens and the Opposition insisted that everything be done in the public eye, under media monitoring, in the presence of international experts, and the analysis of samples from 3 containers with waxed, undamaged seals, be done in 3 different laboratories , preferably EU countries.

Quite the opposite is happening.

The Democratic Party condemns this concealment of the truth, this lack of transparency and delivery of the process in the hands of the government, which is the main accused of involvement in illegal international traffic of hazardous waste.

Environmental safety, health and life of citizens are more important than the chair of Mirela Kumbaro, Pirro Vengu, Belinda Balluku, and Edi Rama.

All those who are becoming part of this farce, in secret, should know this well.

The Basel Convention to which we adhere and which is mandatory for implementation, provides for severe penalties for the governments of countries that carry out illegal traffic of hazardous or toxic waste.

In order to escape from this punishment, Edi Rama is ready to assemble everything, and in the end to find out that with those remains you can wash your hands and make movies.

We invite the media, civil society and citizens not to allow this dangerous scenario, which seeks to cover up the hazardous or toxic waste affair involving the Minister and the Prime Minister.
