Bardhi: The massive participation and resistance in front of the police showed that there are citizens who do not forgive freedom
The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, praised yesterday's opposition protest, stressing that the citizens invited to react showed strong resistance in the face of the disproportionate behavior of the police.
According to Bardhi, on Syri TV, the march towards Tirana was not an ordinary national protest, but an invitation for citizens to express their dissatisfaction. He appreciated the massive participation and the endurance of the citizens, stressing that this protest was a success.
'Albanian citizens also feel it in their concerns that are not reflected in the main national media. Unfortunately, including the national televisions, these media have been involved for years now, but especially in the last period, in a campaign of disinformation and use by the government, to spread Edi Rama's propaganda in a media way. This harms the public interest, harms the truth and, of course, conveys the wrong image or information to citizens. I believe you saw this with the last protest, where different stories were fabricated, distributed by Edi Rama's propaganda office and reflected as true events in the vast majority of the country's media.
I think that what we had announced, the march towards Tirana, was not a national protest, so citizens were invited to react, unlike the protests we are used to seeing organized by the Democratic Party, where citizens participate and, with the participation of them, express their dissatisfaction. In this case, we had publicly explained what would happen that day and what the citizens were invited to react to that day in Tirana.
In this sense, either the massive participation of citizens or their resistance in the face of the disproportionate behavior of the police, showed that yes, in this country there are citizens who are neither ready to forgive freedom nor submit to the violence and arbitrariness of a state personal that Edi Rama has built. They are there to react whenever Albania needs them, and in my view, this was a success of what happened yesterday. Citizens reacted and responded to the invitation of the Democratic Party.
There has been no public reaction from any of the embassies of friendly countries that are in Albania.
Edi Rama has put his hands on the throat of everyone who has decided to live in this country, and the fact that the citizens have the courage to forcefully remove their hands from his throat, which is this reaction, which could have been even harsher, it does not mean that it is violence ," said Bardhi.
