The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting with the party structures in Peqin this morning. He said that democracy has fallen and the iron curtain has reappeared. According to him, this is happening even in countries with rulers who do not make real choices. Convinced that change could only be brought about by the DP, Basha said they wanted to transform the party he led.

"In this dark moment that has marked the fate of many nations, in these last years and decades, where the iron curtain has reappeared once again, no longer between communist countries and free countries, but between countries with rulers who do not they make real choices, they have no real democracy, they have no real opposition.

But they pretend to make elections, they pretend to have democracy and the opposition has a facade. "They wanted to do this and with us to transform the party of the December movement, to transform the force that overthrew communism, the force that reunited Albania with the west," Basha added.
