Berisha at the EPP conference: Albania is in the emergency room

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has delivered a dramatic speech at the European People's Party (EPP) conference being held in Sarajevo, describing Albania as a country that is 'in the emergency room' and in a deep political, institutional and social crisis.

According to him, Albania's fundamental problem remains the lack of free and fair elections, which he described as 'a farce documented by international institutions.' In this context, he reiterated the demand for a caretaker government that would guarantee a fair electoral process and democratic standards.

"Albania is in the emergency room. It is in an emergency room. It is facing protests that have not been seen before ," declared DP leader Sali Berisha, accusing Edi Rama's government of a cynical approach and ignoring the growing crisis.

DP Chairman Sali Berisha warned that the situation could deteriorate into serious clashes if a peaceful solution is not found, emphasizing that 'the movement is unstoppable' and that it does not represent just a political force, but a broader civic reaction.
