Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has reacted to the failure of the DP Leader, Sali Berisha, to appear before SPAK, in application of the "compulsory appearance" measure.

In a reaction on social media, Gjokutaj confirmed that the reason for Berisha's absence was a health problem. Gjokutaj says that Berisha is going through a viral condition, which has forced him to stay away from public engagements today.

"In my capacity as defense attorney, I would like to inform you that today, on 16.06.2025 at 10:00, Mr. Berisha had his appearance at SPAK in implementation of the GJKKO decision to impose the measure of "compulsion to appear"! Due to health reasons (viral condition), his appearance was impossible! In connection with the above, the prosecutor was notified!" writes Gjokutaj.

The Special Court of Appeals on January 3 of this year imposed the security measure of "obligation to appear" twice a month at SPAK for the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in connection with the "Partizani" file. By court decision, Berisha must appear at SPAK on the first and third Monday of each month at 10:00.
