The recount process of the ballot boxes in the Tirana District continues, with today being the third day of this process. So far, 218 out of 1,282 ballot boxes that are subject to recount have been opened.

Today's recount of ballot boxes showed that on May 11, the Socialist Party gained 107 more votes, while the Democratic Party gained 105 additional votes. After the recount, these votes were removed from both political entities, but had no impact on the distribution of mandates.

The recount process is taking place at the "Fahrie Hoti" Sports Palace. For the largest district in the country, that of Tirana, a total of 1,282 ballot boxes will be reopened for political entities and candidates.

The process in the capital is expected to last about 10 days. After the completion of this phase, the recount will begin in the Fier region with 587 ballot boxes, and then in Durrës, where 360 ​​ballot boxes will be reviewed, including 85 boxes coming from the diaspora.
