The MP of the Freedom Party, Erisa Xixho, has raised the concern that the Internet, through which our children see the world, is also full of dangers.

Therefore, according to her, the strategies to turn this space suitable for them, was part of the parliamentary discussion between the deputies of the "Friends of Children" Parliamentary Group.

For this, she announces on social networks that the National Pact for the Protection of Children from Violence in Albania has already been signed, an initiative of CRCA and Isigurt!

Erisa Djixho's reaction

The Internet, as the window through which our children see the world, is also full of dangers. Therefore, the intervention to turn it into a safe environment today is an emergency.
Together with the colleagues of the "Friends of Children" Parliamentary Group, in the open listening session with the responsible ministries and authorities, we discussed the safety of children on the Internet and strategies to make this space suitable for them.
According to the report drawn up by iSIGURT for the year 2023, denunciations have increased by 160%.
In 62% of cases, victims of online harassment are girls aged 14-17.
Online bullying, hate speech, insults, inappropriate materials are the dangers our children face every day today.
We also signed the National Pact for the Protection of Children from Violence in Albania, an initiative of CRCA and Isigurt!
As the vice president of the group, I emphasized that this situation first requires the completion of the legal framework and education through a dedicated curriculum in our schools for the virtual world, parallel to the awareness of children, teenagers and parents about the dangers that this world hides.
Let's turn this initiative into a strong weapon in the battle against child abusers!
