"It's left behind", Gjikuria: Himara has no more time to waste

The opposition candidate for mayor in Himare, Petro Gjikuria, started the campaign in Himare this afternoon for the August 4 partial elections. The first stop, where he was conducting a presentation with the residents of the area, was Himara village.

In his speech to the supporters, Gjikuria said that the municipality of Himare has no more time to waste, a blessed place according to which it is left behind while the world progresses.

"Today Himara has its MEP, the moment has come for it to also have its mayor. For this reason, I announced my candidacy and invited all political parties to support this candidacy. For 12 years we had a government hired party mayor who spent a lot of time doing very little.

When the Himarjotes decided to change the chairman, they were not allowed, Himara was left without a chairman. The government forces the mayors to sign. I love Himara, Himara municipality has no more time to waste, such a blessed place has been left behind as the world progresses, today it is not worthy to continue like this. I took it upon myself to take a step, to announce my candidacy for the mayor of Himara, let's move forward together for the tomorrow of Himara" , said Gjikuria, among other things.
