Kelliçi: Basha and Alibeaj can no longer be part of DP

The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi, declares that the former leader of the DP, Lulzim Basha and the deputy Enkelejd Alibeaj are responsible for the crisis in the party, so they cannot be part of it.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that the court's decision to return the PD logo and seal is very good news for the citizens, who will have an independent opposition, even though it was unjustifiably delayed.

"It is a right denied for almost 30 months and it was the end of an attempt to leave the country without opposition. This is good news for Albanian citizens who have an independent opposition. The fact that we have been discussing this issue for 30 months has shifted the focus away from issues of bad governance.

DP has been and is one. The DP does not have the luxury of losing any of its members, but if you ask me, I categorically exclude the Basha-Alibeaj duo, but the structures will be the ones to decide" , said Kelliçi.
