Kelliçi publishes the official requirements for the SPAK: The structured criminal group in the municipality of Tirana is headed by Veliaj

The Democratic Party has attacked the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

In an appearance for the media, the member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi appealed to the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani regarding what he describes as a mega corruption affair.

STATEMENT:

Today, we are continuing to make public the official requests addressed to the Special Prosecutor's Office and its head Altin Dumani, regarding the mega corrupt affairs and theft of the Structured Criminal Group in the Municipality of Tirana, headed by Erion Veliaj.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, in the capacity of the prosecutor of the Tirana Incinerator file, has requested information from the Head of SPAK, Altin Duman, regarding the following:

1. Have new arrest measures been issued during the month of July 2024?

2. Has the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, been registered by you in the register of notifications of criminal offences?

3. Did you evaluate the IFC's filed study as it was the argumentation used by Erion Veliaj for the initiation of the procedures for granting the waste treatment concession?

4. Have you done a financial analysis of how the costs increased 3-fold from the proposed IFC study?

5. Have you requested information on the companies that citizens Mirel Mertiri and Klodian Zoto have registered in Bulgaria, Malta, Zimbabwe, Cyprus, etc.?

6. Have you evaluated the documentation sent by PD to the Project Implementation Unit (PUI)?

7. Have you evaluated the Agreement between the Municipality of Tirana, the Environmental Inspectorate and the company IEBV SPV sh.pk for the management of the land business?

8. Are you verifying the data that we have made available to you about the companies which, by order of the Municipality of Tirana, do not pay for the deposit of soil?

9. Are you conducting a detailed analysis of how many companies with construction permits have deposited soil in the Sharra landfill? How many of them have made payments in monetary value and how many in square meters of construction?

10. Have you taken measures to seize these assets?

We have made several clearing contracts available to the entity ITS sh.pk and there is still no action to prevent their alienation.

From 2020 onwards, the Democratic Party has continuously filed evidence and facts in the Special Prosecutor's Office, not only for the violations committed during the approval of this concession, but also for the lack of monitoring of the contract through the intentional failure of NJZP, to steal and disappeared the money, but above all we have deposited in SPAK the evidence of where the stolen money of the Albanians is located.

The ridiculous figure of 20 million euros invoiced to date by SPAK is not the truth of this theft and above all this figure serves as SPAK's full amnesty for the head of the Structured Criminal Group in Tirana Municipality, Erion Veliajn.

We will wait for SPAK's response, and then we will send other documents related to the newly discovered companies in this mega affair.

If SPAK is not willing to investigate the theft of Tirana Municipality, we guarantee the citizens that the Democratic Party, me personally and the Group of DP Experts, are more determined than ever to unravel these two mega thefts committed by Erion Veliaj, that with the ghost incinerator of Tirana and the other theft with the 5D gang.

We will not stop at the fact of theft and abuse of citizens' taxes, as well as the fight against corruption that has gripped the Municipality of Tirana.

For this reason, we invite citizens again tomorrow, Thursday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m., to protest against the chief thief of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
