The Council of Legislation convenes, Çupi: The Constitutional Court found

Democratic deputy and at the same time head of the Legislation Council, Dhurata Çupi, spoke about the changes in the law at the meeting held today.

Çupi said that the Constitutional Court has found the Assembly in violation of the Assembly Regulations.

As for the law on the tax on free professions, Çupi said that it is unclear what will happen with the refund of those who have already paid the installment.

"Changes to the Rules of the Assembly will have to be transparent and consensual. Unilateral changes to further tighten the measures harm parliamentary democracy.

It remains unclear what will happen with the installments that the freelancers have paid. We must undertake a legal initiative for the compensation and reimbursement of all those professionals who have paid the installments" , said Çupi.
