The realtor of the case of Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi has been determined after the recourse to the High Court of the security measures imposed against them by order of SPAK.

Magistrate Ilir Panda has been elected rapporteur, who will judge the appeal filed by the former couple.

The first to appeal to the Supreme Court, on January 17, was the president of the PL, Ilir Meta, who requested the lifting of the security measure "prison arrest" imposed on him.

The request was filed by his legal representative, Genc Gjokutaj, who stated that there is no evidence regarding the ÇEZ-DIA case and lobbying in the US.

The lawyer stated that "having neither reasonable doubt nor evidence regarding these 3 episodes, we have approached the Supreme Court, arguing for the revocation of the measure imposed on him of "prison arrest" by the GJKKO, which was later approved by the Appeals Court."

Ilir Meta has been in custody since October 21, while being investigated by SPAK for the criminal offenses of "corruption", "money laundering" and "concealment and failure to declare assets".

Meanwhile, 3 days later, on January 20, Monika Kryemadhi also filed a recourse. We recall that the PL MP, SPAK, declared the person under investigation under suspicion of committing criminal offenses; “Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials” in 2 (two) cases and in collaboration, “Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity” committed in collaboration, and “Refusal to declare, failure to declare, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants, or of any person who has a legal obligation to declare”.
