DP denounces vote manipulation in Finiq: Suspicions of "Bulgarian train", cousin of SP candidate was guiding voters

DP denounces vote manipulation in Finiq: Suspicions of "Bulgarian

The Democratic Party candidate for the Vlora Region, Ina Zhupa, has denounced a serious incident that allegedly occurred during the voting process on May 11 in the village of Dhivër, Finiq Municipality.

Through a post on social media, Zhupa published photos from polling station no. 4695 in Finiq, claiming that Dhimitër Llajo, cousin of Socialist Party candidate Vasil Llajo, took the ballot out and instructed voters, in violation of the electoral law.

" Dhivër Village, VC 4695, Finiq Municipality! The DP demands the immediate blockade of the center! We inform the police and the CEAZ to make the relevant decisions according to the law. The information we receive is that Dhimitër Llajo, the cousin of the SP candidate Vasil Llajo, has taken the ballot paper outside and is instructing the voters. Everyone will face the law. Hands off the citizens' vote, you will run away in shame, " Zhupa declared.

The denunciation has raised suspicions about the scheme known as the "Bulgarian train", a form of manipulation where voters are given a completed ballot to put in a box, while the blank ballot they receive from the commission is taken out for further use.

Suspicions of this form of manipulation are reinforced by the huge result with which Vasil Llajo won in this area. The DP demands an immediate investigation by SPAK into this case, describing it as clear evidence of vote manipulation in the May 11 elections.

The incident comes after similar reports of manipulation in CEAZ No. 40 in Tirana, adding to concerns about the integrity of the electoral process in several areas of the country.
