Rama's promises on the eve of May 14, Bylykbashi: Brutal violation of the

Democratic Party MP Oerd Bylykbashi has commented on the promises of Prime Minister Edi Rama on the eve of the May 14 elections.

Speaking to News24, Bylykbashi said that Rama's promise to increase salaries is a flagrant violation of the Electoral Code and OSCE principles for free and democratic elections by the prime minister.

"What we are talking about is a brutal violation of the prime minister. Even a promise by the prime minister is enough to be considered a violation. As far as I understood, the position of the CEC nullifies the Electoral Code. The Albanian constitution does not recognize the term government but governance. The provision of the code is general and applies to all types of elections. If we were to take the interpretation of the CEC for the local elections, the mayor of Tirana or another municipality could make a slaughter with human resources. After the elections, the incumbent government has no right to abuse power and distribute various benefits.

It is a deliberate action to threaten the electoral process and the Electoral Code. The use of power to influence elections is prohibited. This can be done when the country's budget allows it, not before the elections. We don't need to add paragraphs to make this clear", said the democratic deputy.

Bylykbashi also spoke about the election campaign in his camp as he said that there is an "ugly" continuation of the behavior that "robbed" the logo and seal of the DP, since according to him the same characters are trying to stop the "Together We Win" coalition.
