"Government depressed, opposition revived": Salianji calls for
Democratic MP Ervin Salianji has reacted to the political situation in the country, describing the government as tired and worn out, while describing the opposition as enthusiastic and more united.

In a long post, Salianji criticized the government for a lack of vision and for trying to capture votes through manipulation, even abroad.

He has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of promoting tourism as a cover for deep economic problems and links to crime.

" The government and Rama are heading towards the May 11 elections gloomy and moodless, while the opposition is more enthusiastic. Citizens feel disappointed and need guarantees that this bad governance will not be repeated ," said Salianji.

FULL LETTER:

The announcement by the Ministry of Interior that there are over 3.7 million voters for the upcoming elections and the start of work on the list that will be officially published in March, after the registration of immigrants or various complaints, is, so to speak, the start of the official and bureaucratic side of the campaign.

From what we can gather from the Fier prison, and from what is felt in the air, we have a government and prime minister heading towards May 11, gloomy and moody, and on the other hand a more open, more animated, more enthusiastic Opposition.

The fact that Rama and the government seem gloomy, tired, but insatiable to put the pickaxe to Albania is working to capture, patronize the vote even in the diaspora! The government's dependent tourists have to do with the consumption from prolonged power, from the lack of ideas and vision. They have to do with the great dissatisfaction among the people, from poverty and corruption. As well as from the deep internal problems among them. And also, from a kind of discomfort that comes from the concern about where the next bell will ring, at which door the abuser or high official caught in affairs, or connected to crime.

It seems clear that Rama has nothing else to say except "success" with tourism, which is still unknown how much it has helped the lives of ordinary citizens.

So he seeks to be associated with beautiful hills, with steep mountains, with valleys and fog, or some snow here and there. As if he is the creator of this miracle. As if Albanians have the mind of Spiropali and believe that its Skanderbeg has supernatural powers, to shape reliefs and meteorological phenomena.

It's ironic how he echoes a Bild article about tourism here in our country, and this appears on all screens and portals, while a short while ago, an article by the same media that talked about the government's connections to crime was circulating as classified material, since most of the press did not cover it, much less did the government react.

Edi Rama is saying give me a fourth term because Vabona is amazing, that Palasa has clear water, and that Ksamil resembles the Maldives.

Trying to cover up with this facade the entire great 12-year oppression, financial and of connections with gangs and international drug traffickers, one of whom I denounced at the press conference. The connections of the one I denounced were very special, he was the brother of the Minister of the Interior. The latter, most of all from his connections with gangs, will also offer good governance in Parliament, while some wretches in court were placed at the disposal of the prime minister's wrath after I ruined his comfort with the publication of facts of connections with crime and massive corruption in the government!

The opposition and my democratic friends have no reason to go into euphoria and I know they will not. Dissatisfaction to the point of revolt against the government is never enough to bring about change. People are disillusioned with politics and a lot of work must be done to build a new trust. Citizens need the guarantees they have lost in these 12 years.

I certainly agree that the events of December should be celebrated as they are related to the birth of our political force. Or even in January. But we are not in a position to inaugurate and stay long in our museum, because time does not wait. Of course, these moments have to do with our identity and ideological traits, they have their importance. But citizens have other concerns. And every day away from them would be a day wasted.

So the focus must be clear, the economy. And the guarantees that Albanians want that bad governance, with corruption and crime like the one of the last 3 mandates, will not happen.
