The political leader of the Democratic Party in Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, is closely following the vote recount process in Tirana.

In a statement to the media, Këlliçi said that this recount process is exposing the massive manipulations of the Socialist Party. He accused the Socialist Party and the head of government, Edi Rama, of massive vote manipulation in the May 14 elections, describing the process as an electoral farce that aims to distort the will of citizens.

Këlliçi stated that during the recount process, concrete cases were found where votes were illegally added to the SP at the expense of the Democratic Party, mentioning that 17 manipulated votes were identified in only 14 ballot boxes.

He emphasized that this process is being followed not only by DP structures on the ground, but also online, in real time, and warned that any attempt at manipulation will be publicly exposed.

Këlliçi: So far, the process is moving at a very low, very slow pace, and for at least the next two weeks it is expected that we will still be in the recount process. So far, in 14 boxes it has been evidenced that the SP has obtained 17 votes illegally, so the commissioners have added 27 votes to the SP. Elsewhere, invalid votes or votes from another entity have been added. If this trend continues in the 1,282 boxes in total, it is inevitable that we will have a large amount of stolen votes from the SP in the Tirana district.

Without a doubt, the DP has had its votes taken away and stolen so far. 4 votes have been taken away as a subject, and we will continue to follow up box by box. This is a process that is also being followed online by the DP structures and on the CEC website.

Today, with the evidence that the DP has made public of the same citizen voting 3-4 times in Elbasan, the turning of ballot boxes upside down to remove the ballot and "verify" the will of the citizens according to the footage published by Mr. Berisha, the indisputable facts of pressure during the voting day, as well as the case of the Bulgarian train in Peqin where voting was done with a single ballot that was removed, show that this process has occurred in parallel in all regions of Albania.

All these facts are enough to show that on May 14th there was no election, but an electoral farce.
