Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, chairwoman of the European Affairs Committee, was part of the meeting of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET), where she also held an important conversation with the new Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.

During the conversation with Commissioner Kos, Tabaku emphasized the need for the opposition's involvement in the European integration process and the commitment to free and fair elections.

"Albania has the potential to become part of the European Union, but this process requires honest, real reforms and free elections that reflect the aspirations of Albanian citizens for a European future," Tabaku wrote in a post on social media accompanying a photo of the meeting after the AFET meeting in the presence of AFET chairman David McAllister and another DP MP, Albana Vokshi.

During the visit to the European Parliament, Tabaku and opposition representatives underlined their commitment to being a strong voice of responsibility and change.

The opposition remains determined to ensure that the integration process does not remain just a promise, but becomes a reality that reflects the will of the Albanian people.

This visit to Brussels comes at an important moment, as Albania prepares for the upcoming elections and to advance on the path towards the European Union.
