Meetings with internationals, Kelliçi: Rama was described as a person closely connected to crime
The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Këlliçi, commented on the round of meetings held by DP representatives with international partners, especially the meetings in Strasbourg and the United States of America.
Speaking on Syri TV, Kelliçi said that foreigners have described Albania as "the first narco-state in Europe," accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of being linked to organized crime and running an autocratic regime.
"It is a round of meetings that has been undertaken by many functionaries of the Democratic Party with our main partners. Undoubtedly, the meetings in the United States of America and the meetings in Strasbourg, held a month ago, stand out among them, where the 30 deputies of the Democratic Party had the opportunity to inform the vast majority of the European Parliament regarding the narco-state established in Albania, the first narco-state in Europe, which is led by Edi Rama.
Don't forget the meetings of the last few days, where I, together with my friend and colleague Tomorr Alizoti, had meetings in Berlin. There we met with MPs of the CDU and with the main leaders of the political foundation of the German Christian Democrats.
The next day, together with Albana Vokshin and Endri Çenon, we will be part of an official delegation to the United States of America, at the annual summit of the world organization of right-wing parties.
Do not forget the resolutions approved two weeks ago, which were very strong in support of the Albanian opposition, the Democratic Party and its leader, the chairman of the DP, Dr. Berisha. The resolution of the CDI, which considered Sali Berisha a political prisoner, while Albania was a narco-state, stands out in particular. As it is, Edi Rama was described as a person closely connected with organized crime, drug traffickers and incriminated individuals, while Albania was called an autocratic regime.
Edi Rama, after finishing work with Albania and the government - according to him - has moved on to "reforming" the opposition. He was concerned that our sister party, the European People's Party, was supporting the Democratic Party and its leader, Sali Berisha, with a resolution, thus preventing the reformation of the Democratic Party.
Do you understand what megalomania and delirium we are dealing with in this case?
The EPP resolution was passed without any modification, without any letter or comma being changed. It was fully approved, as it was presented by the Democratic Party in the Assembly ," said Kelliçi.
