The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said that Albania's implication or engagement in the negotiation process between Pristina and Belgrade does not bring any benefit, but is very harmful.  

During the conversation with journalists at the headquarters, Berisha said that the best solution for Kosovo's security is NATO membership. 

Berisha : I once again strongly condemn the terrorist acts committed in the last two days in Kosovo.
I wish that those responsible are found and brought to justice as soon as possible. Demand an end to any interference by official Tirana in the internal affairs of Kosovo.
I call for the immediate removal of all the absurd sanctions imposed on Kosovo, a democratic country, de facto the most democratic country in the region.
As I call on the international community as a whole and the North Atlantic Alliance in particular, to keep in mind that Kosovo is NATO territory, and the absolute best solution for Kosovo and NATO's security is the country's membership in North Atlantic Alliance.
This is in the interest of peace and security in the region. Kosovo is NATO territory and no one should and cannot play with this territory, this country.
