Parliament returns, MPs to hold plenary session on Thursday

The Assembly returns on Thursday with a plenary session, following the May 11 elections.

A meeting of the Conference of Speakers is expected to be held next week to approve the Assembly's work program.

The Assembly must continue its work until July 8. As stipulated by the Constitution, the Assembly cannot review laws 60 days before the end of the mandate and the start of the new legislature.

September 9th is expected to be the day of the meeting of the new Parliament that emerged from the May 11th elections.
