"Factory for the production of vaccines", as Rama is following Vuçi model's model
After returning from Turkey together with 192 thousand Chinese vaccines and the agreement for 1.2 million doses in total, Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed that talks have begun for the opening of a factory for the production of Chinese vaccines in Albania.
" We have started talks to bring the vaccine factory to Albania. A high-tech factory, which is currently one of the largest companies in the world, the pharmaceutical company that also distributes the Sinovac vaccine.
This production factory, which will open another important page in the development of the health sector in Albania, which will be a reference point for products of the highest quality ", said Rama from Rinas.
Just as he 'turned a blind eye' to the Russians and Chinese for the vaccines they produced, Rama seems to be following the same pattern as Aleksandar Vucic for the manufacturing plant, the Serbian president with whom the head of government is known for their friendship.
While in Tirana, Edi Rama talked about a game with two gates which he was not ready to play, we recall that Serbia at the end of 2020 and at the beginning of this year, Serbia is also a country that is also in membership negotiations with the European Union, announced that it would also use Russian and Chinese vaccines.
Two normative acts of the government a few days ago refuted all the allegations that Rama had previously made about the origin of vaccines. From a country that would remain loyal to the EU even in terms of buying anti-covid doses, now the Albanian state became open to the east, following the same model as Serbia, although with a few months delay.
This model already seems to be continuing with the next project, that of the production of Chinese vaccine in Albania.
On March 12, Vucic announced that a Sinopharm (Chinese) plant for the production of Covid-19 vaccines would soon be built in Serbia.
“Nga 15 tetori ne do të kemi sasi të mëdha vaksine për vete dhe mbarë rajonin. Ne do të duhet të furnizojmë edhe rajonin të paktën me çmimin e prodhimit. Shpresoj se Serbia nuk do të bezdisë kënd në këtë drejtim”, tha Vuçiç.
Ndërkohë, kryeministri Rama i pyetur të enjten në Opinion lidhur me këtë krahasim, Rama tha se nuk është e njëjta gjë.
" It is not the same, because Serbia has a long history of pharmaceutical industry in Europe. An agreement is made with the Turkish manufacturer which is an old and reputable company that produces several types of vaccines. I asked them to come to Albania to open a factory of their own because they have problems with import licenses and if we create a favorable framework from a fiscal point of view. I communicated with the owner who is a scientist and the factory will come here. It will be their investment with government support. We will subsidize a part of the investment ", said Rama.
