From Rama's mandate to the decree of the new parliament, the 'hot' week of the new political season
This week is expected to mark a series of crucial developments for the new political season. Within this week, the president of the republic is expected to mandate the prime minister Edi Rama.
48 hours after the announcement of the names of the new ministers, the Socialist Party started the procedures that pave the way for the formation of the government cabinet "Rama 3".
Last Saturday, through an official letter bearing the signature of the Secretary General, Damian Gjiknuri, the pink headquarters officially addressed the President to decree Edi Rama, thus mandating him as the next Prime Minister.
Following the decree by the President of the Republic, the name of the new Prime Minister is submitted to the Assembly for approval, which will be constituted on 10 September. After approval in Parliament, the head of government sends to the President for decree the ministers, for whom he must express himself within 7 days.
The decrees approved by the President are passed in the Assembly within 10 days and then the entire government cabinet is sworn in before the President, whom the Socialists dismissed a few months ago, listing a series of serious constitutional violations according to them.
The Rules of Procedure of the Assembly stipulate that the chair of the first plenary session is the oldest MP, namely the SP MP Luljeta Bozo, while Lindita Nikolla has been selected by the Socialists as the new Speaker of the Assembly.
What is expected with interest is the fact that after two years of absence, the opposition, PD and LSI return to this legislature, making the parliamentary battle to be projected strong based on the harsh political rhetoric from the opposition camp.
