The increase in temperatures has immediately affected the increase in the number of citizens who seek medical help in the case of a national emergency. The head of the Emergency Center Dr. Skënder Brataj says that the first week of July, which coincides with the days when the thermometer began to show an increase in temperatures, immediately led to increasing number of calls for help.

"Only during 24 hours, there were almost 450 calls", said Brataj.

But what are the pathologies directly affected by high temperatures for which citizens seek help?

"There have been many cases of fainting," says the head of the National Emergency.

They also needed help in the coastal areas, where nearly 27% of the calls were foreign extras who chose to rest on the Albanian coast.

"Out of nearly 4,000 calls, 27% were foreign calls."

The head of the National Emergency suggests to citizens to avoid going out during peak hours when possible, especially people with chronic diseases.
