5 Albanians stranded in Israel, ambassador: We are going through very difficult

Five Albanian citizens have remained stranded on Israeli soil due to the Israel-Iran conflict that began on Friday.

Albania's Ambassador to Israel, Meri Kumbe, has provided details to Klan New regarding their situation.

"Yes, we are all fine. Of course, we have gone through and are going through very difficult times, but we are fine," she said.

Three of the Albanians remaining in Israel are on tourist visas, while two of them are on temporary visas. Kumbe explains that their condition is good, but they are undoubtedly feeling scared. The ambassador adds that work is being done to return them to Albania. Considering the presence of Albanian-Israelis there, no injuries or material damage have been reported for them either.

"The Albanian citizens who are temporarily here are fine. They are scared, to be honest. We have been in constant contact with them since the moment the attack began and they declared themselves and asked for our assistance. As I told you at the beginning, these are very difficult times and it is understandable that the psychological state of the citizens is sometimes aggravated."

For us especially, who come from European countries and peaceful countries, these are completely unknown realities and very difficult to manage, both emotionally and practically. We are not only in constant contact, we are working intensively to enable their return home. Meanwhile, here we have all the Albanians of the Albanian-Jewish community, who are practically Albanian-Israelis. And they are well. So far, fortunately, we have not reported any material damage or injuries among them ,” she said.
