Chris LaCivita, the architect of Donald Trump's victory in the November 2024 elections in the US, will also lead Sali Berisha's campaign and the DP in Albania was asked if he has been contacted by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama for the May 11 campaign.

Invited to Syri TV, he said that he has never contacted him, and even added that he cannot work with communists, implying Prime Minister Rama as such.

Excerpt from the interview:

Çim Peka : Chris, the Albanian prime minister is a very wealthy person. His spending is staggering. He probably lives the most luxurious life of any leader in Europe, but in Albania, yes, yes. Has he contacted you? If such a wealthy prime minister who has no accountability, does not hide his luxury, were to contact you, what would you do?

LaCivita : He has never contacted me. And I do not work for communists. Or for products of communism. However, the similarities between the race here in Albania and the race in the United States are the fact that the political opposition to the ruling party, unfairly, has been persecuted and prosecuted or suspicions have been raised against it and we have the opportunity to strengthen and revive democracy. And to have behind us a powerful America, which works with Donald Trump. And therefore people should choose this as a model, as an example and vote for the future, and the vote for the future is a vote for Berisha and the opposition.

Çim Peka: You don't work for the communists, but my friend Rich Grenell, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, have met several times with the prime minister, they have come to do business in Albania, which is the most normal thing, but Prime Minister Rama has tried to sell it as buying influence in the White House. What is your opinion that the president's family is doing business in a country run by communists and traffickers?

LaCivita : I can't speak on this issue because I'm not involved in the business aspects, what some family members do... however, I understand that any business in Albania is for the benefit of the Albanian people, any development, now or in the future, will definitely bring profits to the people. However, what is important is the fact that everything is organized with transparency, in a fair manner, to understand in what form they operate. However, I think it is difficult for people to have confidence in their government if the opposition is put in prison and forbidden to participate in elections... and this is one of the reasons why we need to change things.
