The newly appointed ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, this Thursday handed over his credentials to President Bajram Begaj.
In a post on the X platform, he emphasizes that he will use this mandate to the maximum to help Albania on its way to EU integration.
"The pleasure of starting my mandate in Tirana as the new EU ambassador. We have a unique opportunity to further integrate Albania into the EU by consolidating the progress achieved so far and pursuing the necessary reforms to make this country more prosperous, more modern and more inclusive. I look forward to working together with the Albanian authorities and the Albanian people", said Ambassador Gonzato.
