Escape from Italy to Albania for drug deals? Pecorelli for La Nazione: The crime scene was staged by the Albanian priest
Former businessman Davide Pecorelli has confessed the origin of his disappearance and reappearance after 8 months, telling the story of the cause of the disappearance, which according to him are debts to creditors.
In an interview with the Italian newspaper "La Nazione" , Pecorelli said that he owes at least 50 of his creditors. The former Italian businessman claims that creditors have recently sought him out at his business in Italy by threatening him, but his economic situation was quite difficult to liquidate with them.
His trip to Albania, to stage death as a form of debt relief, according to Pecorelli was not a path he had chosen to end everything.
"When I left for Albania, no. I asked for one last chance: first in Shkodra and Tirana, trying to sell hair products and a car worth 100 thousand euros, then in Puka, ”said Pecorelli.
His connection with the Albanian priest in Puka, according to Pecorelli, was done in order to confess before the so-called "suicide". The former businessman reveals that it was the priest who suggested the staging of death and the idea of the bones which Pecorelli placed in the burnt car to leave no doubt about his death.
"I asked a parish priest to confess and take my life. I had lost hope. The priest said he could have access to a joint bone. Yes and he helped me. But it is not true that we took the bones of men from a grave. The car should have crashed into the rock but ... we looked like Fantozzi and Filini. "We could not push him down," he said.
Pecorelli refused to disclose the name of the Albanian priest who gave him the idea of staging the death. He tells the priest has told him he will go to a safe place where no one can look for him. "The priest told me that I could go to a place where no one would look for me. I cried for 4 months, "adds Pecorelli.
Regarding his stay in Vlora, Pecorelli says that he has stayed there since May 7.
“Është e vërtetë, unë kam qenë atje, por që nga 7 maji. Çështja e thesarit ishte ngritur me komunitetin fetar.
He points out that the carabinieri have also seized the keys where Pecorelli would keep hidden the treasure discovered on the island of Montecristo. "The carabinieri also found the keys to the garage I rented in Porto Santo Stefano to keep the treasure. They have all the videos and accounting maps. I asked the numismatics expert. On September 23rd we had a meeting at a hotel in Arezzo. "But they caught me," added Pecorelli.
The former businessman has denied the rumors that the staging of his death has anything to do with drug trafficking between Albania and Italy.
"Absolutely not. Those who know me well know what I have done in the past against drug use. "I strongly oppose those who have hypothesized this scenario," Pecorelli said.
