Veliaj's arrest, GJKKO issues 5 security measures

The Criminal Investigation and Prevention Court has issued 5 security measures as part of the investigations against Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj.

He has been placed under the security measure of "prison arrest." Ajola Xoxa, the mayor's wife, has been placed under "house arrest."

It is reported that the other three measures are "compulsion to appear", but it is not known to whom they were issued.

We recall that Veliaj is under investigation for criminal offenses: passive and active corruption, money laundering, and concealment of assets.
