Bayern Munich has a 3-year contract ready for Granit Xhaka

Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, according to reports in Switzerland.

Xhaka is expected to leave Arsenal this summer and confirmed his departure by posting a farewell message on social media earlier this week.

After scoring twice on the final day of the season against Wolves on Sunday, Xhaka wrote on Instagram: "Two goals to say goodbye", followed by a tearful emoji.

Former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Xhaka was expected to return to German football with Bayer Leverkusen, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage with Arsenal.

But that move could be put on hold amid reports that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Xhaka. They are said to have offered the midfielder a three-year deal with the option of another year.

However, Bayern's offer is said to be 'not preferred' as Bayer Leverkusen have offered a five-year deal.
