Begaj meets the head of the RMV Assembly: Integration, an important process

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, received today in a meeting the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, who is on an official visit to Tirana.

During the conversation, the strengthening of cooperation and good neighborly relations between the two countries was discussed, as well as the intensification of political, economic, social and cultural cooperation.

The Head of State appreciated the importance of the role of the Albanian factor as a "state-forming, peace-loving and determined factor for Euro-Atlantic integration" for the stability of North Macedonia, which also serves as a connecting bridge between our two countries. Albanians have a special role for sustainable development in the region.

The Head of State assessed the language law and fair and adequate representation of Albanians in the administration as very important and with a priority role for Albanians in the Republic of North Macedonia.

"Albania is ready to intensify the cooperation between the two countries for the all-round advancement of relations, as well as the Europeanizing context of developments throughout the region", - emphasized President Begaj, guaranteeing a friendly and constructive climate, a model of good neighborliness in the region .

In relation to economic relations, the importance of continuing the started projects was emphasized, among the most important, Corridor VIII, which, according to the President of the Republic, is much more than a simple infrastructure project. "Corridor VIII," said President Begaj, "is a strategic project within the framework of cooperation between the two states."

President Begaj emphasized that the cooperation between Albania and North Macedonia in the field of European integration is an important process, despite the separation of the two countries in this journey, for which he expressed his belief that they will meet again.
