The High Prosecution Council reacted after the statements of the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in the direction of the head of the Special Prosecution, Altin Dumani, stressing that such statements were followed with concern.

Offering full support to SPAK, KLP calls not to undermine the work of the prosecutors of the Special Prosecution.

The High Prosecution Council, as the governing and constitutional body of the prosecution system, closely follows any public reaction related to the work of the prosecution institution and in particular the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime.

In this context, the High Prosecution Council has been following with concern in recent days, the statements of special subjects in audio-visual and electronic media, related to the prosecutors of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) and its head.

The High Prosecution Council condemns any hate speech, expressions, insulting and intimidating actions that aim to unfairly denigrate the figure of prosecutors or exert pressure on them, calling on everyone not to undermine the professional work of prosecutors in any way of the Special Prosecutor's Office.

Every subject involved in the legal activity of the prosecution, has the right to submit any claim, complaint or objection to the competent Court provided by the law for the administration of justice. This, in a democratic state, is the only way to get to the truth.

At the same time, the Council unreservedly supports the legal activity of every prosecutor of the prosecution system, encouraging them to continue to exercise their function with full competence and independence for raising and representing the accusation against anyone, on behalf of the Albanian state, not influenced by anyone.
