A 24-year-old woman was arrested while trying to cross to the United Kingdom with false documents, as a victim of prostitution.

The police announce that a 30-year-old man accompanying him has also been prosecuted. The 24-year-old wanted to seek asylum in the United Kingdom through forged documents, being sold as a victim of prostitution.

Police notification:

The coded police operation "Sajesa", developed by the Border Police of Rinas, in cooperation with the specialists for the Economic Crime Investigation of DVP Tirana, for the prevention of illegal crossing of the border, with forged documents, in order to seek asylum, is finalized.

The operation was based on the informational intelligence provided by the specialists for the Economic Crime Investigation of DVP Tiranë, as well as thanks to the use of modern logistical equipment, which the Border Police already has, for the identification of forged documents.

She tried to cross the border, with forged documents, in order to seek asylum in the United Kingdom, with the claim that she was a victim of prostitution in Albania, the 24-year-old woman was arrested.

The 30-year-old man who accompanied him is being prosecuted.

A forged passport, an identity card and an Italian driver's license are seized.

Rinas Border Police Services, in cooperation with the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section of DVP Tirana, following detailed checks of the documentation submitted by citizens who enter and exit this border crossing point, based on the informational intelligence of assured by the specialists for the Economic Crime Investigation of DVP Tirana, that a citizen would cross the border, with falsified documents, in order to seek asylum, deceiving about the reason, they organized and finalized the coded police operation "Sajesa".

As part of the operation, in Rinas, the citizen MM, 24 years old, was caught and handcuffed while trying to cross the border.

In addition, criminal proceedings were initiated against the AS citizen, 30 years old, who accompanied the 24-year-old woman.

During the detailed search, in the bag of the 24-year-old, the Police found and seized a forged passport, an identity card and an Italian driver's license, which this citizen would use to seek asylum in the United Kingdom, concocted an alibi that he was a victim of prostitution in Albania.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court for further action.
