The Tirana court confiscates 7 illegally built villas in Mullet, the builders are punished
The Court of Tirana has ordered the confiscation of seven villas built in the Mullet area, following the request of the capital's Prosecutor's Office. The villas, which were formally equipped with a reconstruction permit, were found to have been built illegally, using forged documents and damaging the forest fund under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Tirana.
The investigations of the prosecution revealed that the technical and legal documentation for the construction of the villas contained false data. For this reason, nine people have been found guilty of the criminal offenses of "Illegal construction" and "Forgery of documents", among which are two architects and several villa owners.
The prosecution has accused:
Armand Prelezi and Klevis Bregu, architects, for "Forgery of documents".
Manush Teqja, Florian Zela, Abaz Teqja, Mehmet Durishti, Tefta Visha and Arblin Harizi, villa owners, for "Illegal construction" and "Forgery of documents".
Dorina Dushku, for "Illegal construction".
After the investigations and expertise, the prosecution demanded the punishment of the defendants and the confiscation of the villas. Likewise, the investigations continue for possible actions and omissions by public institutions and the involvement of possible collaborators for the criminal offenses of "Forgery of documents" and "Abuse of office".
